Restoration Professionals is a water damage and mold restoration company based in Scarborough, owned and run by a lifelong Scarborough local with 16 years in the trade. We are a proud Canadian business, restoration is all we do, and we treat every job like it is happening to our own home. Because for the people who call us, it basically is.

Restoration is not a service you shop around for when things are fine. People call us when a pipe has just burst, when they have walked downstairs into a flooded basement, or when mold has crept across a wall and they do not know how far it has spread. They are stressed, they are often scared about the cost, and they need someone to show up and take control.

We take that seriously. When your phone rings and it is us on the other end, you are already having a bad day, and our whole job is to make the next few hours feel manageable. We answer, we talk you through what to do right now, we tell you what to expect and roughly what it will cost before we arrive, and then we show up and handle it. Start to finish, one team, no runaround. That is the entire reason this company exists.

Our owner has lived in Scarborough his whole life and has spent 16 years in restoration. That means when we walk into a flooded basement in this city, we usually already know the story: the era the house was built, the plumbing that tends to fail in it, the weeping tiles that crack, the way water moves through these neighborhoods. We are not learning your house on your dime.

He is IICRC certified, the recognized standard in the restoration industry, and he works directly with insurance companies to navigate the claims process on your behalf. Insurance is where a lot of homeowners get overwhelmed, so we take that weight off you: we document the damage from the moment we arrive, map the affected area, and deal with your adjuster so your claim holds up.

The work our owner is proudest of is not a paid job at all. For years he has quietly taken care of the water damage and mold at Al Huda Muslim Society, the mosque on Kennedy Road, entirely for free.

The building had a rainwater leak coming into the basement that had been causing mold on the walls and ongoing water damage, left unaddressed for a couple of years. Instead of the mosque spending tens of thousands of dollars chasing the symptoms, he found the source, fixed the leak properly so it would not come back, and cleaned up the damage it had already done. He still does routine checks to make sure it stays dry and safe, and he still does it for free. The mosque has recognized him for it, with awards for community leadership and trust.

He volunteers around Scarborough in other ways too, but that one sticks with him. It is also the clearest picture of how this business works: find the real cause, fix it so it stays fixed, and treat the people you are helping the way you would want to be treated.
